Richard Mandelaris, DMD
Pediatric Dentist & Practice Owner
Dr. Mandelaris received his bachelor's degree from the University of Southern California. He continued his education at the School of Dentistry at the University of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he received his DMD degree. After serving two years in the Naval Dental Corps, he returned to the University of Southern California for his residency. He completed his residency at the Children's Hospital in Los Angeles in pediatric dentistry. Dr. Mandelaris established his practice in Davis in 1975. He married his wife Darlene in 1969 and has two children and 5 grandchildren.
Justin Jergensen, DDS, MS
Justin Jergensen, DDS, MS, a licensed and experienced orthodontist, brought his additional skills and enthusiasm to Dr. Mandelaris' team the summer of 2016. Dr. JJ, as the kids call him, is a graduate of UCSF dental school and University of Maryland Orthodontic Residency. He loves connecting with patients and improving their lives, confidence and health by enhancing their smile. Dr. JJ spent three years as an acclaimed orthodontist in Texas, where he also met his wife, Sandra, and started a family. After having two children, Dr. Jergensen and Sandra decided to move back to California and are delighted to reside in the beautiful Davis area. Aside from his love of orthodontia, his other interests include waterskiing, snowboarding, guitar, tennis, golf, family time and cooking.
Lisa Elenberger, DDS
Lisa Elenberger graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 1985 with a degree in dental hygiene, and then earned her dental degree 1989 from Georgetown University School of Dentistry in Washington, D.C. She is married to Dr. Jeffrey Elenberger, an orthodontist in Rocklin, CA and has three children. Dr. Elenberger has been with our team since 1993, taking a little time off here and there to be with her children.
Setareh Ghafouri, DDS
Setareh Ghafouri went to University of Southern California, Los Angeles, to complete pre-doctoral courses before going on to University of the Pacific for a dental degree, followed by Boston University to complete a two year specialty training in pediatric dentistry. Dr. Ghafouri is a Board Certified Diplomat of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. She enjoys teaching as a part-time faculty at the University of California, Los Angeles and Section of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Ghafouri joined the practice in 2005.
Graham Hearn, DDS
Dr. Hearn grew up on a citrus farm in Visalia, CA. He studied Physiology and Neuroscience at the University of California, in sunny San Diego. He received his dental degree from the University of the Pacific and completed a two-year general practice residency at the University of Virginia. He completed his pediatric specialty training at the University of Washington, where he was chief resident and now serves as part-time faculty. When he is not caring for children’s oral health, you might find him surfing, waterskiing or boating at Mammoth or Lake Tahoe or hiking in the Sierras!
Paul Johnson, DDS
Prior to and during undergraduate training, Dr. Johnson worked as a finish carpenter, bicycle mechanic and an EMT in the ER, NICU, PICU at the Children's Hospital in Oakland and in the ER at San Diego Children's Hospital. He attained a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from the University of California in San Diego and his master's, DDS and pediatric specialty training for the University of California at San Francisco. Aside from his love of pediatric dentistry, his other passions include spending copious amounts of time with his partner Jessica and their two Chihuahuas, traveling, restoring and racing vintage Honda motorcycles and racing dirt motorcycles. Dr. Johnson joined the Mandelaris' team in 2012.
Rohini Rattu, DDS
Dr. Rohini Rattu received her bachelor's from UC Davis in 2002. She went on to obtain her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine in New York City. During her four years at Columbia, she held several positions on Class Council and was involved with Student Government for the dental school. Dr. Rattu continued her dental training for an additional two years at Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine, where she obtained her certificate in Pediatric Dentistry. In 2010, Dr. Rattu became a Diplomat by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Rattu feels she has come full circle. She is back in Davis, where she met her husband during their undergraduate days. They now have two funny, crazy little boys who brighten up their world! In her free time, Dr. Rattu likes to take advantage of the outdoors. As a family, they love exploring new restaurants, which will accommodate two rambunctious toddlers, of course!
Lilliana Stojic, DDS
Lilliana Stojic graduated overseas from the University of Zagreb, Croatia School of Dentistry in 1991. After graduation she moved to California in 1993. She has post graduate study in cosmetic dentistry, implants and endodontics. She is also a member of the American Dental Association, International Congress of Oral Implantology, the California Dental Association, the Sacramento District Dental Society, the United States Dental Institute, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the Academy of Laser Dentistry. Lilliana also received her Masters of Academy of General Dentistry and Fellow status from the International Congress of Oral Implantology in 2007. Dr. Stojic joined the team in 2005.
